Acne Intervention

Both ACNE scarring and active infection/lesions can be addressed with laser therapy. The pricing of this treatment has dropped dramatically over the last few years making this a viable option for treatment of small or large active ACNE regions of the body. A short wavelength filter is used to concentrate on the porphyrin molecule to eradicate the lesion and reduce the chance of recurrence. Almost immediate results in reduction of lesions and their sensitivities are seen. Treatment session can be increased in frequency to give a faster eradication of active lesions and maintenance session every 3-5 months can help keep recurrence percentage low. In addition once active lesions resolve, sometimes individuals can be left with the dimpled scarring appearance known as ACNE scarring.
